This is a collection of fiddle and banjo duets played in old styles by Andy Cahan and Joseph Decosimo. Andy and Joseph grew up outside of the cultural and chronological world that gave rise to oldtime mountain music, but at a relatively young age each was smitten by its sound and allure.
The playing on this album is the result of their personal experiences with old musicians and from recordings of those from the distant past. Their sound as a duo comes from their rare musical chemistry and their love of the old tunes.
